FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General Questions

When and where will the NORA 2026 conference be held?

The Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) 2026 Annual Conference will be held October 22–25, 2026, at the Hilton Peachtree City Atlanta Hotel & Conference Center, located just south of Atlanta, Georgia.

This is an in-person conference. If you sign up for Clinical Skills 1, 2, or 3, they include a required online didactic component completed before the conference.  You will be provided a link to complete this by July 15th, so there is plenty of time to complete this. You can complete it in 1-hour increments at your leisure with a short 10 question multiple choice test immediately following, and it is COPE qualified.

How can I book my room?

A reservation link with NORA's discounted group rate of $145 per night will be included in your conference registration confirmation email.

You can also click here to reserve a room.  For a general overview of the Hilton and its amenities click here (do not use this link for reservations).

What is Clinical Skills and why are the newly redesigned Clinical Skills Courses so important?

Clinical Skills 1, 2, and 3 are NORA's proprietary, hands-on educational courses that form the foundation of NORA Fellowship training.

Each Clinical Skills 1 & 2 course includes:

  • 6 hours of online didactic instruction completed before the conference
  • 6 hours of in-person training on Thursday, October 22, 2026
  • 12 total hours of COPE-approved continuing education

Clinical Skills 3 includes:

  • 10 hours of online didactic instruction completed before the conference
  • 6 hours of in-person training on Thursday, October 22, 2026
  • 16 total hours of COPE-approved continuing education

The in-person day (Thursday, October 22nd), of these foundational courses is not recorded and is available only to registered participants.

Clinical Skills 1, 2, and 3 are the core of NORA’s educational program and the foundation of the path to Fellowship (FNORA).

These courses have been completely redesigned to create a more structured, standardized, and accessible learning experience for clinicians from optometry, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, physiatry and other rehabilitation disciplines.

Are conference presentations available virtually?

In 2026, the online portion of Clinical Skills 1, 2, and 3 — designated Clinical Skills A (CS1A, CS2A, and CS3A) — will be available as pre-recorded video modules in the months leading up to the conference.

The in-person portion — designated Clinical Skills B (CS1B, CS2B, and CS3B) — will take place live on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the first day of the conference. Both the online (CSA) and live in-person (CSB) portions are eligible for COPE credit.

However, for the in-person Clinical Skills program on Thursday, and the main conference program (Friday–Sunday), only live, onsite attendance is eligible for COPE credit.

Are conference presentations recorded?

Clinical Skills in-person courses are not recorded. Selected main conference presentations may be recorded and made available for purchase after the conference. Only live attendance qualifies for COPE credit.

I signed up for Clinical Skills. Where can I find the online recordings to be completed prior to the in-person conference?

If you registered for Clinical Skills at the 2026 NORA Conference, you will receive an email with sign-in instructions to access the recorded preparatory coursework included in Clinical Skills A (CS1A, CS2A, or CS3A). Clinical Skills 1 and 2 each include 6 hours of online coursework. Clinical Skills 3 includes 10 hours of online coursework.

We appreciate your patience and enthusiasm as we launch the newly redesigned hybrid Clinical Skills program. As this is the first year of the updated CS2 and CS3 curriculum, we are finalizing the recordings and online delivery platform in advance of the conference.

Participants will be notified as soon as the content becomes available.
